problems converting to m4a

First of all, thanks for the QuickTime CLI!

I've been trying to convert to m4a, but will always get the following error message: "couldn't open the file "~temp.wav" because the sound information was in a bad or damaged format".

It must be a frequency that QuickTime does not like, not using 44.1KHz files?
