Conversion of special characters in Arange Audio

    Good morning/afternoon/etc.,

I have a question that I haven't been able to find an answer for yet.

Is there any way to adjust what Arange Audio converts special characters to that artists use in their naming structure? For example: it will convert a : to a ; while I'd like it to convert it to a -. Or it will convert * / | \ all to a -.

I am using the latest version of Music Converter on Windows 10.

Or is this a µsoft thing?

Thank you for any & all suggestions,
    Al.

In dBpoweramp Control Centre on the advanced options page is the filename character replacement, here you can control which values are used.

Thank you Spoon for you quick & accurate reply.

I found it & made the adjustments that I prefer. I didn't realise that "Filename Restricted Characters" was what I was looking for.

      Thank you again,
      Al.

It doesn't work. Even after I adjusted them, & even rebooted, it still uses the default replacements!

I have confirmed that the latest version (2023-10-10 [64-bit]) is being used.

I just reinstalled R6 & now it works!

I guess I've got to remember to reinstall &/or update Codecs after updated main program!

            Thank you Spoon,
            Al.
