Well I was referring to 16 or 24 bit units.
So by your answer I guess 320 kbps may correspond to 32bit.
I'm actually converting to MP3 from FLACs sampled at 16bit.

If the files are already 16-bit then there is no advantage to upsampling them to 24- or 32-bit. But the files will increase in size as a big disadvantage.

320 is the bitrate.
