Ram, Ra Files????
Spoon getting anywhere close to a download to convert them dreded Real Audio files??? I know they are a pain, but seems like alot of the music is becoming ram or ra I believe probably to stop hijacking their music. The rest works like a charm, but still tinkering with the compression etc; really freaks ya out when you get a 500+ MP3 +23MB Wave lol. Anyway not complaining just wondering if its still in the works and about when??

OK, im completely confused,, I downloaded the codec for ra, ram files and I get nothing.....
I want to copy a file which shows up on the notepad as someone said to do.

dBpowerAMP can only work on files that actually reside on your computer, not files that are being streemed off the web, regardless of file type.Originally posted by geno52

Ok, now if I understand you correct......
This is a song by Alabama... & this is from notepad after I clicked it to
open in Notepad... So there is no way that I can play or convert this
song???????? & as of now I cant....... even as it is a rm file ??????
I really think that the dbPowerAmp system is great, I burn music by it all
the time,,, now does it cost extra to use the Aux Input portion,, even as
I already belong to the writer portion ???????? Being a novice I get rather

dMC Auxiliary Input is fully part of dBpowerAMP, no registration is required for that. You already have it in your program files, look for it.Originally posted by geno52
It doesn't matter that the file you're interested in is .rm or anything at all. As long as you do not have it on your pc it cannot be converted.
If you can play it from the web, then you can use dMC Auxiliary Input to capture it and record it on you computer. Yuo can record it to .wav or anything you like.
Please refer to the FAQ for how to use it properly.

It appears that the address you have for that file (the IP address portion) corrsponds to a private home server - it is not apparently a web server. I do not believe you can play the file either. How did you get that file address anyway?Last edited by ChristinaS; February 04, 2005, 04:11 AM.Comment
