    Lame.exe codec

All I get out of this Codec is static. The Lame dll encoder does generate expected results. I tried using the included 3.93 Lame and I also redirected to my old 3.92 Lame. Same results. I have been using dMC for a couple of years and I was previously using the old Generic CLI mechanism.

I had uninstalled by old dMC (r10 beta 2) and installed the current r10.1.

      Re: Lame.exe codec

Does not matter, but for example
with lame 3.93 (installed with dbPowerAMP codec)
      --preset fast standard -V 4 --lowpass 18
      --preset fast standard
      --preset standard
      --alt-preset fast standard -V 4 --lowpass 18
      --alt-preset fast standard
      --alt-preset standard

      with my old lame 3.92
      --alt-preset fast standard -V 4 --lowpass 18
      --alt-preset fast standard
      --alt-preset standard

All of the above result in a full length file with pure noise as the result.

Though the docs say the [InFile] [OutFile] param types the generic CLI uses are not required, I tried them anyway just to be complete. No file gets generated at that point.

The generic CLI using the following works.
      --alt-preset fast standard -V 4 --lowpass 18 [InFile] [OutFile]

The above generic CLI is using my lame 3.92. The above generic CLI works as expected.

I had pretty much the same problem with the lame.exe converter. Nothing but static.

I'm sorry to say that it doesn't work for me either.

Could it be a frequency thing? is everyone converting 44.1KHz files?

                  Re: Lame.exe codec

I can confirm that my test files were 44.1kHz. Running the lame.exe on its own or through the generic CLI codec worked it was just the new codec which doesn't.

Is the new codec just a modified version of the generic CLI codec?

                    Re: Lame.exe codec

No, it is a special stdio encoder (passes data using handles, no temp files).

Anyhow it is now fixed. Redownload to try new fix.
