converting from mp3 to wma9 is causing restart

Hi all,

I have been trying to convert my mp3s over to wma but every time I start, it gets through a few songs and my computer restarts. Is this a problem with wma9? I installed the Plus! converter to see if it did it also and sure enough, the computer restarts after 5-6 songs. Kind of annoying. :vmad: Anyway, if anyone else is having this problem or knows of a fix, please let me know.

I am running a custom built computer consisting of:

Gigabyte GA-7VRXP mobo
Athlon XP 2400+
512 MB PC2700 DDR RAM
Liteon 48x32x48x CDRW
Sony DRU-500A DVDRW
Creative Audigy 2 Platinum
ATI 9700 Pro Radeon
IBM 80GB HDD
Logitech Elite Duo Keyboard and Mouse
Windows XP Pro SP1 all patched up
Current Codecs installed are the initial ones that come with DMC as well as the wma v9 codec.

I am quite sure your CPU is overheating, no progam should be able to just restart XP no matter what it does (unless it calls the ShutdownEx function..).
