MP3's from CDGrab skip

I recently (December) downloaded and began using CDGrab so that I can put music from my CD collection onto my new MP3 player. However, most songs that I record to MP3 have some sort of "skip" in them. I have both CD-R (liteon) and CD-RW (plextor) drives, and have tried the same CD on both to try and discern if it was a hardware issue. The skips are evident in both Windows Media player, and on my MP3 player (iRiver).

Can someone help me figure out what is going on, and/or suggest some things to try and fix it? Although I do have some computer experience, I am new to the digital audio world. As far as CDGrab is concerned, I've only played with the recording speed a little.

Try ripping to Wave files, do they skip also?
