dMc 16.6 lic / full version and dMC-R17.3-Ref-Trial

hi,
i have been using the V16.6 for some time & was thinking trying out the v17.3 before i paid for it.
i downloaded the v17.3 & installed it in a completely different directory.
on starting the dBpoweramp i see it is starting the v17.3 (though it is supposed to be a trial) is this normal ??
will my drive settings etc be the same or do i re configure ??
what do i do after the 21 days trial, if i don't end up buying the v17.3 ?? can uninstall the v17.3 or do i uninstall both & reinstall ??

It will use the same settings, after the trial uninstall and your r16 will be left. To get the shell items working again you would have to uninstall r16 then reinstall.

i hae tried t uninstall dBpower earlier but have been unsuccessful.
please could you revert the best way / full procedure to do this.

You would have to install r16 to that same location it is now, then uninstall it.
