    Tag From Filename

Have downloaded and installed the new codec ' Tag From Filename '. It does not seem to work. I may be reading the information wrong, but understand that when a file or files are highlighted, and you right click the mouse, there should be an option to tag from the filename. When doing this, there is no option of this type.

Also, the Arrange option does not show up.

Running W98, dMC Release 10, Power Pack release 3 - Registered, and File Selector 4a. In the Configuration screen, the Tag From Filename shows as Release 1. However, there is nothing in the brackets.

Is the program loaded? Have I missed something somewhere.

Spoon, there is nothing on the Convert screen that says 'Tag From Filename'.

Try re-installing the codec to make sure it took, you may reset your system after re-installing the codec. If you still no success re-install the entire DMC 10.1 and then install the codec and then reset your system.

          No cigar.

Tried reloading, shuting down, still nothing.

Even downloaded new copies, removed, reinstalled, and still nothing.

Think I might have that one system that it will not work on. <g>

          Any other ideas? Anyone?

Make sure everything is installed to the same location, dMC + codecs.

Then if Tag from Filename is missing, have a look in:

            C:\program files\illustrate\dbpoweramp\compression

each of the codecs should be present here, ie [Tag From Filename].dll

i have installed "tag from filename", i tried using it, and nothing happened.
i have the latest version of dMC and i had it set for [artist] - [track]. after using it, i looked at the time when the file i was converting was last modified, and it was the same time as before i tried to convert it - as if nothing ever happened.

this is actually my first post - and i want to thank spoon for creating all the fabulous programs on here. :-)

Tried using this new codec last night but it wouldn't work. Just about to report the fact but I see that you have just released an update.

Downloaded within the last 15 mins, DMC 10.1, Arrange Music Codec, Tag From Filename again, removed the old programs, installed the new once again.

                    Still does not work.

However, I do notice a new problem. <gbg> Playing audio files. When the first file finished, the player is just scanning thru the files. Not playing them.

                      C:\Program Files\Illustrate\dbpoweramp\compression\[tag from filename].dll

                      it should be 4.0.0.1

Seems I am the person who can bring out the little bug in a program. <g> I am sure it is something within my system that is causing it. However, when I installed this file, it messed up the Audio Player. <g>

Spoon, I probably need to come back into the Beta team. <GBG>

Try a simple test with it, create any audio file, rename it to: 123 - 456

then edit the tag so artist is Multiple and title is ABC, do a tag from filename with that file and set the tag mask to [artist] - [track]

                              does it work.
