You need to be more specific. Bit rate? VBR vs CBR?, tag type?, or ????

for a car I'd use:

lame mp3 codec, VBR at V2 (~192kbps). I'd make sure that I have ARTIST, ALBUM, TRACK,TITLE metadata filled in. But because some automobiles use file names rather than metadata tags info, I'd make sure the file names are something like: ARTIST-ALBUM-TRACK-TITLE.mp3. Perhaps first test to see what your car player actually recognizes so you can adapt to that.
