.m3u codec extention available?

I have Windows XP installed in my computer. I've had dB installed in my computer thru two different OS's for a couple of years now. I've been trying for the life of me to convert this .m3u file that I downloaded to my computer the other day, and Ive tried to download mulitple, well, actually, ALL the codecs for Windows Media Player in Codec Central to NO AVAIL. Is there a codec available for .m3u files? I seemed to have missed it on the site.

m3u is a playlist (it points to other audio files), anyhow dMC will handle a m3u, right click on it Convert To>>

I've tried right clicking and still nothing. There's a pop-up that tells me that the codec is available download central and if I would like to connect to the internet..

      any other suggestions?

Open NotePad, drag and drop that m3u file onto Notepad, look at the file names you will need a code for that filetype from Codec Central.

Spoon, I have done the above suggestion. This is what came out.

            #EXTM3U
            #EXTINF:3875,TonyThomasSoulfulDJSETNovember2003%2E mp3

after I posted the link, there was an MP3 url, so I right clicked and saved as.

thanks for the suggestion although I still have no idea what codec I would need for future reference.

Files from the internet cannot be converted unless they are first downloaded.
