I'm new here and this is my first post. Not a pro just a hobbyist trying to learn more. Have been studying the online information about DB Poweramp and its sample rate conversion processes, but its still not clear to me the best method for downsampling from higher resolution files to cd quality.
However I would assume a workflow might go accordingly:
1. Change to 32 bit floating point first, then once that is complete downsample to the the proper sampling rate of 44.1KHZ and then finally from 32 bit to 16 bit. Would this be the proper way to maintain the integrity of the audio files? Obviously this can all be done in one fell swoop using the automated method, but again its not clear to me if this easy method preserves the best integrity of the audio file.
Thanks in advance for suggestions and comments.
