16bit to 24bit not make sense?

onverting 16bit to 24bit doesn't really make sense does it? doing that won't improve audio quality?

No, upsampling or increasing the bit depth does not improve the sound quality. It just increases the file size, but not the information in the file.

Yep, makes zero sense, unless one strangely wants to have the exact same audio data inside a larger file container.
