flac conversion too short when duration stamp in WAV file is wrong

I noticed when converting multi channel wav files to flac a error occurs. When the extracted wav file shows the wrong length (although all the music is present in the WAV file), the flac conversion just stops at the wrong file length, and does not convert all the music in the wav file.

Is this just a bug, or is there away around this ?

Ensure you do not have any DSP effects running.

What is the length of the wave file?
