My Explorer (not Internet Explorer) is freezing up whenever I single click on a audio type file (.WAV, .MP3). I mean single click, too, not double click (which launches the associated application). Once it senses an audio file by a single click, I have to use the task bar to end Explorer.
It just started happening after I loaded DBPOWERAMP Music converter. The software worked, but now Explorer still locks up. Explorer will work for any other file type, as I can single click, right click, or double click without any issues. Also, my files still are fine using media player or Winamp as these applications allow me to select the file. So, I know it's not the files. However, I like to launch files from Explorer and now I can't do it.
I checked the associated under Explorer-->tools-->folder options and the associations for my .WAV and .MP3 appear correct.
I'm running W2000 Professional.
