converting zipped flac files

This is my first time using dbpoweramp, i am not well versed in computers. I have downloaded the .flac codec for the poweramp and when the file selector goes to select the file i downloaded (from etree.org, it does not show up in the window. Is this because it is a zipped file? I don't know if i need to do something to change this. thanks.

If it is zipped, then first get www.winzip.com and extract the flac file, then convert.

what is the extension of the file you downloaded? .zip? or .flac? or .mp3?
