How do I correct the "decompression error"...

    Hi everyone,
I have the latest release of dbpowerAMP Music Converter. I'm having trouble with my Audio CD Input, however. I keep getting that "decompression error" message when I try to rip the first track of every cd that I own. I have Windows ME as my operating system. Is there ANY way that I could somehow repair, override, or just simply reinstall the software, in so as my being able to FINALLY rip the first track off of every single one of my cd's......with no problem??? I would very much appreciate anybody's help regarding this particular query......thank you.

    Very Frustrated,
    H.E.

Make sure you are using 'Audio CD Input' rather than converting from the cda files.

      Hi Spoon,
I really appreciate your response. The thing is......I'm not sure just how to do that. I've checked all the possble options that are available to me with the latest release of the Audio CD Input. I don't know where that particular option is, so that I could reconfigure the necessary settings. I hope that you could give me a hand with this annoying problem...... step-by-step instructions would be a great help, believe me. I would very much appreciate it, if that's possible...
      Thanks again,
      H.E.

      P.S.,
As I stated on my previous post, I have Windows ME installed on my computer, as well as the latest release of the dbpowerAMP software...

Have you configured AccurateRip? (ie it worked out your drive offset)?

Yes, as a matter-of-fact I did. It works just fine, with the only exception that it won't convert the first track of every cd that I own, (sometimes even the last track, as well). That's when the decompression error message pops up.......each and every time.

Select Options >> disable Accurate Rip and select the 'Status' and reset the offset.

I don't think you can use AccurateRip as your drive cannot read from the lead in or lead out.
