Random play flips through songs w/o playing any of them

First let me thank you for and compliment you on your wonderful audio suite. I used it for a couple of days with great success and suddenly the random play feature started simply cycling through the files without playing them. Re-install hasn't worked. Any ideas? I am using it on two different computers and have had the same problem on both. One is using Win 98 the other is Win 2000. They are networked. Thanks

There's probably two reasons for this:

    1. It can't find (or can't access) the music files
    2. It can't read the codec (maybe because it has been deleted or corrupted)

Try going into the registry (Start > Run > "regedit") and deleting the HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Illustrate/dBpowerAMP key. This will refresh all of the settings.

I can think of a 3rd, less likely reason:

Something has opened the sound card and dAP cannot access it.
