mp3 to wma conversion loses id3v1 tags!

I apologise if this has been asked before - but I couldn't find it. I have converted some mp3 files that have valid id3v1 tags, and used the free version of DB music convertor with the "preserve tags" selected.

The resulting wma files appear to have lost all the tag information :-( Can anyone explain to me what is happening?

    Thanks
    Len

Hold the mouse over the mp3 file, does a tag appear in the yellow popup box? then do the same for WMA, does the tag show?

Thanks for your reply - I have got a bit further than yesterday, it seems that the mp3 tags did transfer, however the wma field equivalents use different names, e.g "album" becomes "title", etc.

Is there a way that I can preserve not only the field values, but also the field names?

      Thanks

I think they are correct according to the WMA specification?
