added silence - am i doing something wrong

when i convert from .ogg to .mp3(Lame or Blade) there is always an added silence to the beginning amd end of each track
this is very small but noticable when one track continues itto the next without a break

what can i do to avoid this

How much? a 1/10th of a second?

yes that is all. about 0.015 of a second and sometimes half that at the end but it makes some joins have a noticable skip

It is how mp3 is, (although even Ogg is not gapless), in your Audio player you might have a gapless option, like dBpowerAMP Audio Player does.
