    CD digital ripping not working

There are several command sets to read CD tracks when ripping.
It seems that Read D4 and Read D5 are digital accessing methods.

I met with an odd occurance,
When i use Read D4 or D5, i CAN preview (play) tracks, but when
    ripping, it reports

    CODEC decompression error for '\\CdRom\Track01.cda'
Unable to Rip track - make sure correct Ripping method is selected and CD Drive supports digital audio extraction.

However, if I use MMC modes (MMC, MMC2, MMC3), no error
occurs, but the quality of the ripped files is not as good as that
played thru Read D4 or D5.

    Using dbPowerAmp MC R10,
on Windows 2003, with SBLive KXProject Driver, DirectX 9.0b

All methods are digital, for 99.9% of drives you should select MMC. There should be no quality difference between the different command sets.
