aux input file type

Hi,

my computer crashed when converting a recorded talk to mp3. It was recorded from live audio using a mic and the dmc auxiliary input.

I have found a 1.1gig 'DMCC1.tmp' file in /windows/temp, and presume this is the file it records to before converting.

Any way to get this over to mp3? Have tried renaming it to .wav, but it wont open..

If you had no volume normalize (or DSP effects) it would have recorded it directly to mp3.

I did have it on Normalize - does that mean I can recover the temp file?

It will be a wave file without the header, there is a program call sox I think that will read such a file.
