Accented ID tag munged when converting .flac to .mp3

After converting .flac files to .mp3, accented characters in the ID tags are not transferred correctly. Am using the latest version -- 10.0.

    E.g.,

    .flac tag:

[2] Kräftig bewegt, doch nicht zu schnell
    Bernard Haitink, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra
    Christmas Matinée concerts

    .mp3 tag:

[2] Kräftig bewegt, doch nicht zu schnell
    Bernard Haitink, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra
    Christmas Matinée concerts

The new dMC writes UTF-8 tags, your player must not be compatible. I will have to make an option to not write such tags. Look out for a new beta in the coming weeks.

Those ID tags were displayed by both Winamp 2.91 and Tag&Rename 3.0.1. I've since installed Winamp 5.0 but have corrected the tags in the .mp3 files and deleted the original .flac files. More .flac tracks should be available shortly and when they are I will look to see how Winamp 5.0 handles the converted tags.

          See here:

Release 10 of dMC includes UTF-8 tag encoding, whilst this is good for international support, it is not good however if the mp3 player cannot read UTF-8 tags, or your existing tags are international local page (non-unicode). Until a new beta version of dMC is released with the option to switch UTF-8 off, if you are having
