    Converting WMA files

I am new to this - but have made some progress! However, I am having trouble converting certain WMA files to Wave. After much investigating, I am almost certain that it is the WMA files with a bit rate of 160 which won't convert. On each occasion I get an error message saying - "(song title) is encrypted which dMC is not able to decode." I am running Windows Media Player version 8 and have downloaded the appropriate codecs to the correct file location (I think). I am obviously missing something - can someone help please?

    Many thanks!!

    Encrypted means copy protected.

encrypted wma files are not currently able to be converted digitally to wav files, as far as I know, without knowing the encryption password
