    Problem to Encode Mp3s

    Hi!

I tried to encode a wma to mp3 file but the error is :
The CODEC required to compress 'C:\1\ChatKick.mp3' could not be opened.

I tried to convert a simple wav and it runs in Ogg, Test, wma format, but when i tried to convert to Mp3s, it's always the same error.

I've download the last lame codec instead, but nothing.

    I have DBAMC release 10, the last lame 3.93.1, and a k6-2 400Mhz.

    Thanks very much.

I have a similar problem, but in my case, I tried to install the two wma codec distributions (db-wmfdist-wma9.exe first, and then dbpowerAMP-codec-wma9.exe).

But I get an error message that this application is not meant for the OS.

The net result is I am still not able to convert wma to MP3.

Probably wma9 package needs another variant to run on NT4??

Try different bit rates / frequencies compressions settings, some don't work together.
