    Ogg cli encode problem

I put the new "Oggenc.exe" encoder in my .......\dBpoweramp\Compression\Ogg Vorbis (CLI)\ directory. If I drag and drop a file onto the encoder, the version shows up in the Ogg file tag as:

    "Xiph.Org/Sjeng.Org libVorbis I 20030909 (GTune 3, beta 2)"
    which is the expected version.

but if I encode using dmc or cdgrab (specifying the same encoder path) I get
    the old version:

    "Xiph.Org libVorbis I 20020717"

    edit:
Is there maybe some lib path that is different between dmc and drag'n'drop?

Did you overwrite the original oggenc.exe encoder?

I renamed it as "hold_oggenc.hold_exe" so it would still be around but not show up as executable.

What happens if you Start >> run:

        cmd

        (or command for Win95,98,me)

and drag and drop your new encoder, what version does it show?

It could be encoding with the new codec, but when it comes to write the tags my standard ogg encoder is used, it is proabbly this that is adding the older version number.

          It shows:
          OggEnc V2.3 (libvorbis 1.0.1)
