Trying to convert .mdz to .mp3, and it don't work......

Hey, I'm trying to convert .mdz into a .mp3 file, and even though I've downloaded the codec, it's not working. It gives me an error telling me that the codec cannot be found. I've checked, and rechecked, and I know the file works. I've listened to it on winamp. The file can be found here..... http://www.the-underdogs.org/game.php?gameid=1017

Just click on the "Sample Music" button. I've tried redownloading the codec, but that doesn't work either. Please help!

    Didn't think I had a .mdz codec.

It does. The protracker codec says it supports .mdz. It keeps getting an error....

Run dMC Configuration, it will say if the protracker codec is installed.

Yea, it's installed. It's been installed. It's still not working.

Try installing Winamp and the same Protracker codec, if winamp can play it?

Winamp can play it. I've had it installed for a year now. I'm not understanding what you mean by what you just said though....

Spoon was just trying to narrow down the problem by seeing if it played in winamp as i think it is a modified winamp codec?

What format of the .mdz file supposed to be, it is not one I recognise? Are you sure that WinAMP is using the same protracker codec as used by dAP and dMC? What does WinAMP think it is?

I have quite a few .mod files created for the Amiga which dAP can not handle because they are not really protracker format files. This was not a problem on my Amiga which didn't rely entirely on the suffix of a file name to identify the contents. Therefore I normally rely on Deliplayer when I want to listen to my music module collection.

You are probabbly best to use Winamps disk output writer.
