    Hi Folks, new user

My first post...I've just started using dbpoweramp, and need some help please. I was trying to convert a large mp3 file (Sinatra album of one track, 132,000KB) from 320Bitrate to 160.
I had no other programs going, and have app. 385 available MB mem on my system (XP). The conversion sucked up the mem down to 25 and locked up the puter. I had to abort the conversion. Any ideas?

1 more question. Is there a good program out there that will break up a long file like that into individual tracks, and give me information on the tracks? that would be a huge help. Hope you can get me going, and thanks.

Make sure you have no Volume Normalize on (or DSP effects).

Thanks Spoon; I'll turn off normalizer. Can't find DSP effects control in either right click drop-down dialog box or configuration program. How do I find this to shut it off?
