I have the same problem while encoding to mpc files. for mp3 it works fine, though
          I have 2024-09-30 version

Likely means the data is not in a format mpc can accept, such as too many channels, try converting a 44KHz 16 bit stereo file.

Yesterday I did some encoding from FLAC files to MPC. It worked with some FLAC albums, but a few albums I own did not seem to be able to be encoded and generated this error message.

Must be something wrong those FLACs I guess, although they play fine

I learned that the problem with enconding to mpc was because of the FLACs being named using diacritics, some norse, for example, letters. when I changed the names to "english" letters the enconding went on without problems
