This is about an issue with the current ref. version of dMC (64 bit trial version 16.2) whereby it reports my AAC files as being corrupt when I am trying to convert them from AAC to M4A. Yes, I understand the advice of avoiding lossy to lossy conversion, however iTunes does not recognise the AAC files I have, so I need to convert them.
This topic was originally opened by user charliemouse on June 17 2015 and appears to have been closed shortly thereafter by the posting of a Beta fix for a dll. I have EXACTLY the same problems as the original poster described (AAC files from BBC broadcasts appearing to be corrupt but processable by other audio editors and converters) and EXACTLY the same reasons for wanting to use dMC (batch conversion). The one difference is that I'm using version 16.2 and the beta fixes posted by Spoon do not appear to be available now - I would have expected them to have been incorporated into the latest release anyway, bearing in mind the time gap.
Is there any advice?
