    DSD over dop question

When Converting a DSF file to a Flac with the DSD over dop with the codec in place is there any tag that differentiates this Flac from a Flac without DSD over dop?

You could add your own tag, there is nothing automatic that does that as only when decoding can it be determined it is dop.

Thanks for the reply. I was trying to determine if there is a way to distinguish a regular Flac file from one with the DSD over dop decoding

Is there a reason why 176.4 khz is not offered as an option? I've been using 88.2.

I believe it is a limitation of the format.

Thanks, I saw your recommendation for that frequency here:

176KHz is the correct frequency for DoP embedding. An audio editor would show noise as it is the dsd file not PCM.

Thanks. I had asked because you had suggested 176.4 here, unless I misinterpreted the response?

I am trying to find a common file type that I can use on Squeezebox, Raspberry pi, and my Oppo BluRay player. .dsf files play on the SB Touch and the Oppo, but I haven't had luck playing .dsf on the pi (but I have yet to explore every option)
