dbpoweramp slow conversion

I'm running dbpoweramp on an 8 core pc but I have a problem when converting more than 4 tracks a once the process slows down dramatically.

It is not dBpoweramp which slows down, but perhaps your HDD which cannot read or write 8 tracks at a time.
