Mistake setting bit depth and Sample rate

I mad a mistake converting flac to aiff with my bit depth too high and sample rate too high. I should have left the setting to " same as source" I no longer have the flac files. How is this going to hurt the files and is there any way to remedy the problem if there is any? Thanks

You can convert back down to what they were before, however sample rate conversions are a lossy process so will no longer have bit identical files.

Thanks for the response. Will I get better sound quality if I do this or just smaller file?
