Dear Spoon,
I want to convert wav's to mp3. My Creative (live!value) software from 3 years ago will only make 56K mp3s. What assorted mp3 bit rates can dbpoweramp make? You mentioned 128k default, but what's the maximum? Is there a URL that shows what bit rates are available for the other formats, too?
VBR looks great. (http://www.dbpoweramp.com/spoons-aud...de-formats.htm) Is that included in dbpoweramp? Is that audio-phile approved? No strange effects as the bit rate bounces around?
OK your preference for .wma. It's just that Windows Media Player (WIMP) is so bloated. The Media Library drives me crazy with tabs and shortcuts I can't get rid of, and it saves information in strange places without asking me first, so I prefer to avoid it. Any advice on dealing with WIMP? Maybe use .wma it with a simpler player?
Thanks.
Best luck,
-Neil-
