Hi, I have dbpoweramp version8 installed in my computer and I'm having a problem:
When I try to rip music from cda to mp3 in dbpoweramp music converter, not in dMC audio cd input a error message appears:

The file 'F:\Track13.cda' could not be opened.
Read Table of Contents failed - audio disc in drive?

But when i try to do it in dMC audio cd input it works correctly!

That option was very useful for me and now it doesn't work anymore.
I've tried to uninstall it and install it again but it didn't work
And if i try to do it from my cd recorder the same error message apears, only change the letter of the unit:

The file 'E:\Track13.cda' could not be opened.
Read Table of Contents failed - audio disc in drive?

Well it is Spoon's intention and you are supposed to rip with Audio CD Input. Why wouldn't you? you have FreeDB, and all the other extra niceities. You are not meant to rip CDs using the converter in Explorer.

It might be that your CD drive letters are swapped - I bet when it says:

The file 'F:\Track13.cda' could not be opened.

this was on drive E

try swapping them around - windows allows you to do this.

I have the same problem. But I fail to swap the CD-ROM and the CD-burner. Although that's not dMC problem, can someone please inform me how (in Windows98)?

In another question I found an answer that partially helped:
(something like) "In regedit, delete the file HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Illustrate/dbpoweramp". That made dMC able to read from the CD-burner but still not from the CD-ROM. Perhaps this can help someone else?

But the ultimate would be if you could show to dMC where the CD-ROM is. Is there really no way of doing this? I have tried to re-install dMC. The program worked properly 2 weeks ago!

PS dMC Auxiliary input is a great program. I'm recording all my vinyl singles to CD - thanks!

I don't remember fully for Windows 98, but it could be

Start >> Control Panel >> Device Manager

Select CD drive then Proporties, and you should be able to set the drive letter.
