Editing Tags
Newbee. Windows 2000. I am having trouble editing tags where the encoding is unknown. The file is an .mp3 level MPEG1 layer 3 bit rate 128 frequency 44100. The ID Tags are listed as ID3v1 & ID3v2. Right click lets me edit the tag and I make my changes followed by OK. After changing several I decided to check them again and found the changes did not stick. If I rip a song using the converter it encodes using Lame 3.92., then the ID Tags can be successfully edited. The only cavat is that the explorer player can play the old mp3 but cannot play the file once converted using Lame 3.92.
Am I missing something or is that just the breaks, either or?
