Xp crashes when converting to MP3

After I installed XP I reinstalled dbpoweramp coverter and everytime I try to convert to MP3 doesn't matter what format I start out with I still get "MusicConverter.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close."
I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice. Does anyone know how to fix this problem.

Try some simple settings for Mp3, 128KBps CBR, stereo just to find out what it is.
