Auxiliary Input

My Auxiliary Input source always defaults to "Line-In" When I select "microphone" , click O.K., and test recording level there is no sound. When I open options it defaults back to "Line-in". Any Ideas?

Ignore that, select Start >> Run

type:

sndvol32 -r

and set it there.
