extremely slow conversion .wav to .flac or .mp3

Just install 16.1 on Windows 10 Pro workstation, completely new install for both. Converting .wav files to .flac or .mp3 takes an excess amount of time compared to previous 15.3 on Windows 7. Hardware is the same. Any ideas, I can send debug info. just let me know.

You can provide timings, what encode speed is shown? try converting to FLAC, then test conversion, and post the encode speed.

Running the Batch Converter, this is probally should be under Batch Converter.
Source and destination: 10K rpm SATA hard drives.
10 wave files total 376Mb to FLAC 6, 57 seconds, 39X speed using 10 cores.
Same 10 wave files to mp3 "-q 0", 1 minutes 6 seconds, 34x speed using 10 cores.

What security software do yo have?

The source and destination are local hdds?

Trendmicro, turned on or off, results the same. I run the same on my other computer running 15.3 and Win 7.
Source and destination are local hard drives, boot drive is an SSD.
The only real difference is software used for mastering, Sound Forge Pro 11, vs. 10, and the OS, Win10 vs. Win 7

Try converting to 'Test Conversion' what is the encoding speed?

Will do, it will need to be later today, no access to that computer until after 4 EDT.
I can test the same files under 15.3 to eliminate the Sound Forge changes.

Tested the same files under 15.3 and 16.1 on Windows 7, all worked as expected. Problem resolved, combination of Windows 10 and Trendmicro AV. Needed to add Program Files\dbpoweramp directory to exclusion list on Windows 10 machine to eliminate problem. Unfortunate circumstances, upgrading OS and all applications at the same time.
