    converting / creating tags

After recording one LARGE concert .wav and splitting to the 25 individual .wav titles (01 - first song name; 02 - Second song name;..etc). I convert to .ape and mp3 (56 kbps for portable player).

I was wondering (because all id info is blank) I can convert all files for artist, album, and genre but obviously NOT each track name.

Is there something I can do so that the conversion will read the file name as a track name?

    Thanks in advance,
    Jay

If you have the power pack then select all the files, right click >> edit tag and set those fields. If you don't then you can do the same from within my audio player.

I do have power pack BUT ....

Correct me if I am wrong but I still have to edit EACH TRACK for "track name"?. I guess what I am asking is If the conversion WILL USE the file name as the track name?

      thanks spoon!

Yes for now, I am soon to write a smart Tag Writer from filenames.
