    Need Help [ AUDIO GUIDE ]

    Hello Spoon....
    am a regular dbpoweramp user and keep on experimenting on codecs as takin help from this forum.....
    newyz i wanna ask u some questionz?

    1.. i want to back up my cd's [ size doesn't matta but need da quality ]
    so suggest me which lossless encoder shld i use from :
    FLAC - APE - LA - OPTIMFROG - WAVEPACK
    As diferent forums says different opinions about dese codecs and
    am damn confused ? so i need ur help in dis matta ! help me out !

    2.. if i want to copy/dupicate my original audio cd's into another cd
    which software i shld try to retain its quality....like " nero "

    3.. if i copy my original cd's thru " nero burning rom "
    thru image recorder & i make image [ iso ] of them
    rather copying them first will it makes any diff.. in any quality ?

    4.. what is the need of " 24-BIt [DVD] and 48000 Khz and
    3,4,5 & 6.1 channels in the dbpoweramp " WAV " option ?
    is it recommended to use 48000 khz setting in normal mp3s ?

    I like monkeys, it has the most flexible tagging and top rate compression.

    If you do a disc copy then as long as the CD is not scratched you will get an identical copy.

    re 4: unless the source of the audio is 48000, 24 bit or 6 channels then you will not get better quality. Audio Cds are two channel 16 bit 44100 Hz using anything other than that will reduce the quality generally speaking.
