    a question about mp3pro format

ok that may sound stupid but how do i really know that mp3pro is really a new format that allows to keep the same quality and not only a reduction of the debit to 64kbps (since a reduction of debit to 64kbps would also reduce by two my 128kbps files, right?)? i mean is our ear really enough accurate to hear the difference between a 64kbps and a 128kbps compression? i really have no clue, so that is a real question. i was just wondering how could i be sure that i'm really not losing quality.

    thanks.

    Matthias.

NB: ur site is really cool. thanx for everything!

Converting 128 kbps to mp3pro 64 kbps will loose quality.
Plus even if you recorded a CD direct to 64 kbps it will not sound as good as mp3 at 128 kbps in my opinion.
