Converting tracks with multiple artists

Hello,
I'm using Mp3tag to tag tracks with multiple artists with this value:
$meta_sep(artist, & )

Unfortunately dbpoweramp does not accept this value, so how is it possible to maintain the artist metadata?

PS: In my preferred player foobar2000 multiple artists are separated by a semicolon.

The ; is just a representation, if for example writing FLAC tags then internally it must be stored as:

ARTIST=artist1
ARTIST=artist2

Each tagging format has a different internal storage.

You would have to first say which audio format using, and then have mp3tag to tag those files as per the specification for that format.

If FLAC then for mp3tag:

In the Artist field, type the artists separated by a double backslash:

Artist 1 \\ Artist 2 \\ Artist 3

Already tagging the source files (FLAC) in Mp3tag like you wrote.
I'm converting from FLAC to "m4a FDK (AAC)" with dbpoweramp, none of these manipulations are working:

You would not need to do anything, for m4a which are iTunes tags, dBpoweramp will read the flac files correctly and write the m4a files correctly (which would be two ART tags in the m4a file).

Sorry, my bad, this works of course. But I'm using custom output folder and file names:
[Artist] - [Album]\[Artist] - [Title]

I want it to be like [Artist 1] & [Artist 2] - [Album]\[Artist 1] & [Artist 2] - [Title]
