It depends on the audio characteristics of the song you wish to convert. Both Musepack and ogg vorbis have strong and weak points. Ogg vorbis, which I use mostly, is excellent for preserving high frequency information and phase relationships between upper harmonics of the left and right signal. As a result, 3d stereo psycho-acoustics are preserved better in ogg than in mpc. In fact, in one test I did, mpc was actually outperformed by good old mp3, so I'm not too impressed with mpc's high frequency behaviour. Ogg vorbis does sound a bit fragile in the mid-low range though, it has to save bits somewhere I guess. Mpc has definately more 'meat' to the signal.
Music which needs to (subjectively) sound 'loud', even at low volumes, e.g. rock, heavy metal, might well do better with musepack.

This is probably why so many people ardently disagree which codec is better: they have all been listening to different musical materials. So I'm afraid you'll just have to experiment for yourself...
