Error during conversion from mp3 to Apple AAC

Hello, I'm converting a bunch of files from Mp3 to Apple AAC. Several files are converted successfully. Meanwhile, I have some files for which I get this error "[encoder] Error: Couldn't set audio converter property ('!dat')" and the conversion can't be performed.

This happens if I use Music Converter to convert, as well as if I use TuneFusion to convert music from computer to iPhone (still Mp3 -> Apple AAC). I suppose it uses the same engine to convert.

I've tried to convert from Mp3 to Flac and then from Flac to Apple AAC, just to see if there was some problem with the file itself, but nothing changed.

    Thanks for your help.

      Sorry, I didn't specify. Yes it's macOS 26.5.1.

Are you using Constant Bit Rate (CBR)?
CBR encoding unfortunately fails if fed certain parameter combinations, such as very low source sample rate material to a very high bitrate.
Consider using Variable Bit Rate (VBR) instead?

Also, both MP3 and AAC are lossy formats. Conversion between two lossy formats always degrades quality further. Any specific reason why you're converting them? Everything that plays AAC should also play MP3...
