Hi.
I just wondered what other people use as the CATALOG # tag for multiple discs and box sets?
For single CDs there is usually just the one catalog number which is easy, but if there are multiple CDs then the catalog number can be on the main product itself and / or on the individual discs. With box sets, the individual components generally have their own catalog number.
For example, I have a two CD set with the outer catalog number of 532 493-2, but the CDs inside have 532-486-2 and 852 879-2.
At the moment, I am using these individual catalog numbers but thinking it might be quicker to use the overall one as this summarises the whole thing.
The reason I use catalog numbers is they help me differentiate between different versions of the same album.
Thanks.
