Really dumb question...Difference between Converter and Ripper PRODUCTS?

I recently downed and used the DBPOWERAMP Music converter. Ran great. Now I am ready to pay for it. Should I be getting the Converter or the Ripper? I assume the Converter as it likely can do more. Yes?

Clueless about this company's products, but so far the only problem I have is the Lame converter started giving me an error msg today and directs me to buy a license. Up till yesterday, Converter ripped both FLAC and LAME simultaneously (great...!) and all was impressive.

What am I suppose to do at this point? Does buying Converter automatically give me the Lame license or do I need to go elsewhere for that?
