    m4a/aac encoder missing?

I recently built a new PC, having been running dbPoweramp reference 15 on my old PC for many, many years, One of the first things I did when I finished the build was to reinstall dbPoweramp using the link from my purchase confirmation. All installed fine, and I thought no more of it.

Today I've attempted to convert some FLAC files to m4a, but it appears that the encoder isn't there. If I check dBpoweramp configuration, it shows that there is a decoder installed for m4a, but no encoder. If I go to codec central, the only option appears to be the m4a QAAC encoder, which I'm pretty sure I wasn't using previously. Codec Central also says the the AAC encoder should be included as standard in dBPoweramp.

    Am I missing something?

You could install iTunes and use the QAAC encoder.

R17 or newer is needed for the builtin aac encoder.
