    Error: "GetPopupInfo has stopped working"

Today, whilst hovering over a music file, I started getting the "GetPopupInfo has stopped working" error box. The error is also triggered if I try to edit the ID tags from the context menu in file explorer.
    OS Specifications:
    Windows 11 Pro x64, 25H2 26200.7705, Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.26100.291.0
    Crash dumps attached.

You would have to be on a version which is relatively recent, we only keep debug symbols (which are needed for testing) for the last 3 releases.

Also the latest release could have fixed the issue.

The other way is to upload one of the audio tracks to dropbox or similar and PM me the link and I will check it out.

Thanks, I hadn't realised I was a few versions behind, however I have updated to the latest version (2026-01-31 64-bit) and the same thing is happening.
I have discovered that the error only occurs when trying to read the tags from .wv (WavPack) files. Other files seem to be OK.
I have attached the latest crash dump and a link to a wavpack file.

We would need one of your files please.

It looks like the WV file is malformed (there is a riff chunk set at 4,294,967,287 bytes which cannot be).

I posted a link to one of the files in my previous reply, is it not working? I can post another one if not.

              Sorry I missed that.

Yes the wv file is corrupted, it has a 4GB chunk at the end of the file, we have put a work around:

Download, then full restart of Windows, and before do anything else, copy that file to:

              C:\Program Files\dBpoweramp\decoder

              The next update will include.

                That's fixed it.
Thank you for your amazing response!
