Unable to use dBpoweramp on new Win7 reinstall

I reinstalled Windows 7 and all my software earlier this week (which I do periodically), but for some reason, dBpoweramp just won't work on this install. When I try to convert audio -- from any suuported format to any other -- I get an error message ""Music Converter Application has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Please close the program" and the whole thing fails.

Needless to say, I've tested and duplicated the problem on multiple different audio tracks, and tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program, but to no avail. Others on the Web report resolving this exact error message (though in connection with other software) with a change to the Windows 7 DEP settings, but it didn't work in this case.

Attached is a ZIP file containing the log file from running the "SFC /scannow" diagnostic. Can anyone tell me what else I can do to get dBpoweramp working again?

    Many thanks.

From WAV to MP3, mostly, but the crash happens no matter what format(s) I try to transcode to and/or from. It occurs when the "Examining Source & Overwrite Check" is onscreen, though it happens so fast I can't tell if the crash is at the start of the source check or the end.

Have you run Windows Update on the new Windows 7 build? If not, please do so.

When Windows has all the latest updates, run the System File Checker again.

On completion of the System File Checker, do you get the following message?:
Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.

Will do. As to the second question, no, I wasn't presented with that message.

Alas, I'm sorry to report that running Windows Update to the most recent build had no effect. dBpoweramp is misbehaving as before.

Now that you have the latest Windows Updates installed, try running the System File Checker again.

If your System files are ok you will get the message:
Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.

We just need to make sure your system is working correctly before troubleshooting dBpoweramp.

Apparently Service Pack 1 didn't register itself correctly with the system when installed in the Windows Update process. I rolled back the update and repeated, and voila, dBpoweramp now works as expected.

Thanks for all your guidance, everyone.
